Why I Love Babywearing

Baby wearing what’s that?! As a new Mom 3 years ago I didn’t have a clue about baby wearing. I was new to the baby world and I couldn’t imagine why you would need or want to wear your baby. Then reality struck when my first was born. He was cranky and fussy. I purchased my first carrier and from there I was hooked. I now have a collection of 6 carriers and I am confident that if I have more babies, that collection will grow! Read my top reasons to wear your baby (or toddler) and be sure to enter my giveaway below.

  • Happier Baby You don't need science to know when baby is closer to mom or dad then baby is happier.  Physical closeness of your baby allows them to be comforted easier. They are able to see things from your perspective and therefore are less frightened and more ready to explore the world around them.
  • Makes Life Easier With baby in the carrier both hands are free! Cooking, cleaning, shopping, working, now you have two hands to do it all! It especially comes in handy when you are on the go and need to get things done.
  • Safer This is the big one for me. When my second came along I was constantly pulled in two directions. With one in the carrier I am better able to control the situation. When I go to crowded places I know baby is secure snuggled up to me rather then in the stroller.
  • Better Sleep Both of my kids have always slept great in the carrier. When teething was at an all time high, I could always count on the carrier to get me through. It has been proven that when babies needs are met and they have the comfort of being snuggled up to mom then they can sleep longer.
  • Convenient Most carriers are very compact and fold or roll easily into your diaper bag. I rarely have a stroller on me but you can count on me having a carrier. I have one in each car, one in the diaper bad and a few more tucked away in drawers. They are so easy to pull out and throw on.

Haven't tried a baby carrier yet or need help? Contact your local Babywearing Group.  Many have carriers to borrow and meetings to help set you up! They can help find the best to fit your needs.

What a gorgeous carrier. My kids are too big to be carried now but the benefits of carrying your baby are amazing.

I’ve had a carrier since before my first was born (shower gift) and while I never really used it with my first I find with my second (now 5 months old) I’m using it all the time! So nice to be able to run after my 3 year old and have my hands free! It’s not a Tula, though I keep hearing such good things about these. I’d love to win one!!! 🙂

I haven’t used a baby carrier with my little one, and I kinda regret it! For my next baby I reckon I’ll invest in one – this particular brand looks like a great option 🙂

Thank you! I didn’t find it until my youngest was 1 1/2 but it’s still a great carrier!
